Top New and diabetes: Brazil’s Anvisa banned the brand’s supplements

Brazil’s Anvisa banned all Top New supplements after disease-treatment claims appeared in online ads. Here is what the order confirms.

On 16 June 2026, Brazil’s health regulator Anvisa ordered the seizure of all dietary supplements under the Top New brand and prohibited their manufacture, sale, distribution, advertising and use in Brazil. The agency said the products were promoted and sold online with claims such as “controls diabetes and cholesterol” and “relieves gastritis symptoms.” [1]

What Anvisa banned

São Paulo’s municipal health department identifies the measure as Resolution RE 2,401/2026. Its notice says the responsible company was unknown, the products’ origin was unknown or ignored, and advertisements on topnewbrasill.com also claimed benefits for respiratory diseases and anti-inflammatory effects. The prohibition applies to the Top New supplements covered by Brazil’s order. [1][2]

Why disease claims are a warning sign

A dietary supplement is not a treatment for diabetes, high cholesterol, gastritis or respiratory disease. Anvisa says supplements must not be presented as able to treat diseases and warns that such claims can steer people away from appropriate care. Blood glucose and diabetes require individual assessment by health professionals. [3]

What has not been established

The notices reviewed do not publish a full formula or report a laboratory test finding a hidden pharmaceutical ingredient. We also found no verified current price, bait-price evidence, or documentation that sellers forced an expensive course by phone. The order does not show that other brands or similarly named offers outside Brazil are the same product. [1][2]

How to protect yourself

  • Do not buy or use the Top New supplements covered by Anvisa’s prohibition in Brazil. [1]
  • If you have used one, keep the packaging, lot number, advertisement and receipt; speak with a doctor or pharmacist, especially if you have diabetes or take medicines.
  • Do not stop or replace prescribed treatment with supplements. If you see the brand for sale in Brazil, save the listing and report it to Anvisa or local health surveillance. Check other supplements through the agency’s official channel. [3][4]

Our conclusion

We do not recommend the Top New supplements covered by Brazil’s order. Anvisa prohibited all products under the brand after citing unknown origin and advertising with therapeutic promises about diabetes, cholesterol, gastritis and other conditions. That is enough reason to avoid the identified products; there is no need to invent a phone scam or hidden-ingredient story. [1][2]
